We follow the same schedule for care as any other perinatal care provider. However, the midwifery model of care is vastly different than traditional OB maternity care. Longer appointments allow for plenty of time to have detailed conversations about choices you will make in pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. They also give us time to answer all of your questions about the different stages of your pregnancy. During your pregnancy, you can expect prenatal appointments about every 4 weeks until 28 weeks pregnant, about every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks, and then about every week from 36 weeks until your baby is born.

Ways we can help before and after pregnancy
Join us Tuesdays from 10:30-12 pm and Thursdays from 1-2:30 pm upstairs at the Healing Tides Midwifery office for a postpartum and lactation support group open to the public.
This is a supportive space open to all parents. There are snacks and drinks, other parents there to support, share and listen, and a host to answer questions and offer suggestions and support.
We also have some items in a community closet such as slings and diapers available to everyone.
People are often asking what supplements they should take and where to find them. We stock most supplements women might need in pregnancy and postpartum and provide them at a discounted price to make them easier to access.
